Students benefit in a big way from tiny house project
Williamsport Area School District | Posted on
Williamsport Area High School construction trade students are learning valuable hands-on skills while working on a new project – a “tiny” house. As the students work on the house, a style of home that is growing in popularity, they are increasing their preparedness for the job market after graduation. After the students construct the home, including electrical work, plumbing and complete interior finish, it will be industry certified, meaning the students can show they have the necessary skills to be employed in the field. The school plans to auction off the house to help pay for the cost of its construction.
