The Wayne Highlands School District has a long tradition of honoring veterans on different occasions throughout the school year, namely on Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day. These celebrations have always had a powerful impact on our local communities. In addition, students learn and come to truly appreciate the meaning behind important American holidays, such as Veteran’s Day, as well as gaining a new appreciation for the men and women who have served our great country.

On April 19, 2016, Robert A. Dexter of Damascus Township, Wayne Highlands School District, was honored. He was a member of the Damascus High School Class of 1946. He received his high school diploma at that special presentation on April 19, 2016.
