Wallenpaupack aviation program takes off
The new Wallenpaupack Aeronautical Science and Aviation Program, headed by Director Eric Greenberger, is introducing students skills necessary for career in the aviation industry — everything from flying to fixing aircraft. According to an article on WNEP.com, the program is the first of its kind in the region and was started to address a great need for aviation employees. In fact, many businesses have been donating equipment and tools to help support the initiative. Donations of planes have come from municipalities and private owners.
Because of student and industry interest, the district is planning to expand the program next year.
