I ate School Breakfast!

United Elementary is celebrating National School Breakfast Week, March 5th through 9th. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day with research proving that students who eat school breakfast are more likely to reach higher levels of achievement in reading and mathematics, score higher on standardized tests, have better concentration and memory, be more alert, and maintain a healthy weight. Over 14 million children eat a school breakfast every school day. Adagio Health has partnered with The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and the United School District for this year’s week-long event. They have donated fun prizes and activities, such as the Breakfast Photo Booth, for students who purchase and eat breakfast in the cafeteria! Who doesn’t love a good breakfast!
