Coatesville Area School District just celebrated its sixth “Thanks-visiting” event, which provides needed food to district families during the holidays. District administrators, staff, teachers and employees of Giant Company, which provided financial support for the event, prepared boxes of turkey, stuffing and vegetables, plus other items for distribution. Several Giant employees also donated turkeys. In an article in Daily Local Coatesville’s Supervisor of Pupil Services Darian Smith said, “Thanksgiving is the perfect time of year to give back and do something kind for others. This year has been especially difficult for many families, so it’s nice to be able to reach out and help spread a little joy.” The team will host their next holiday meal event in December. The team plans to host another holiday food even in December.
