Summer brings free music lessons
Elizabeth Forward School District band students were offered free private music lessons for six weeks this summer, according to an article in the Mon Valley Independent. The lessons were held via Zoom by elementary band director Ben Cook. In addition to the 30-minute individual instruction spots, the students used an online program called Smart Music, offered for free by the company through July 1, which helps students keep up their skills by identifying whether they are playing the right notes and rhythm. About thirty-four students took advantage of the free lessons.
