Lincolnway Elementary students Elijah Hawkins, Coen Riley, and Ka’Vejh Sprenkle had been working hard reading books to earn stars on the website Raz Kids. Students earning 8,000 stars could use those points to donate a meal for a family in need. The three boys went on to earn more than 8,000 stars and were anxious to help families. Sadly, the Raz Kids Donate-A-Meal program ended in October, but the students still wanted to do something similar to help people in need. They decided to collect non-perishables for the Bulldog Pantry, a nonperishable food center located in the high school, open to ALL district families. “It warms our hearts that the boys wanted to do something for their West York community,” said teacher Shay Becker. The students were very successful with their food drive! Elijah, Coen, and Ka’Vejh truly embody the Bulldog spirit of generosity.
