The Seneca Valley girls soccer team is known for holding their own on the field, but more recently held a clothing drive for Intermediate Unit 1. IU1 is an alternative school that offers comprehensive special education services for approximately 120 exceptional students until age 21. The girls’ and boys’ soccer teams supported IU1 by collecting boys and girls clothing at every home game this past season. After each game, players and parents would collect the clothing and begin sorting and labeling boxes according to sizes and gender. Their hope was to provide clothing to IU1 students in grades K-12. They ended up donating 75 boxes delivered via three carloads to the cause!
