East Side’s old-fashioned Christmas
Students and parents came to East Side Elementary after regular school hours to participate in an old-fashioned Christmas. Staff created a warm and cozy atmosphere on stage where the principal of East Side, Frank Frontino, read “T’was the Night Before Christmas” by Clement Clarke Moore to the students who attended the event. Afterward, students and parents enjoyed hot cocoa and cookies as the staff discussed the importance of regular school attendance and arriving at school on time. Gift baskets filled with educational materials were given away to two students from each grade level in attendance and every child that attended the event also received a free book.
