McKean elementary teacher to present at international conference in Greece
Elementary teacher Lisa Roberts will present research in July 2017 at the 13th Annual International Conference on Kinesiology and Exercise Science in Athens, Greece. Roberts studied 55 students and their individual fitness levels over three years. Through implementation of the Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Run test (PACER) and participant surveys, Roberts found students became more physically fit while she learned ways to better serve and empower her students to help keep them active and healthy. She will present her results to health and physical education teachers from around the world, as well as physicians, physical therapists, coaches and others in the field. The conference is hosted by Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER).
