Fifth-graders give to others at Sloan Elementary
Franklin Regional School District | Posted on
A small group of dedicated fifth-grade students from Sloan Elementary had an idea to have a toy drive. They worked with their building principal, a couple of teachers and their parents to plan this event. Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh was selected as the organization the drive would benefit. The school worked with the director of giving at the hospital to organize a successful drive for toys and gift cards. The goal behind the drive was that every child, even one in the hospital, should wake up to presents on Christmas.
