Franklin Learning Center Staff Learns the EdCamp Way
On January 21, 2019, the Franklin Learning Center held a staff in-service conducted in an EdCamp format. An EdCamp is frequently referred to as an un-conference. Attendees are not passive participators in learning. Participants are active learners taking ownership for their own learning. Topics ranged from organizational tips, parent engagement, reading curriculum, lesson plan organization, and ideas for indoor recess. FLC staff shared that this EdCamp brought an increased connectedness between staff, but it was an engaging method to increase learning. One proof of the success of the day was that everyone wanted to do it again! Success!!!!
