On National STEAM Day, Nov. 8 — NOV8 or “innovate” —  fifth and sixth-grade students from Ellwood City’s Hartman Intermediate hosted a Family STEAM Night. This group of students worked many hours after school, using the engineering design process and their 21st century skills to prepare STEAM stations and show community members what’s happening in the STEAM program and in the Wolverine Workshop at Hartman. Students took the opportunity to share some of their favorite projects, allowing visitors to try out some activities for themselves, and discussed possible STEAM careers.
