Downingtown celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Downingtown Area School District is planning to celebrate Latino/a/x and Hispanic Heritage Month districtwide with a series of events highlighting the experiences and successes of those who identify as Latino/a/x and Hispanic. According to an article on MyChesCo.com, festivities will include interdisciplinary activities and literary connection honoring prominent figures. Students and staff will also create video reflections honoring and observing the month.

Since its inception in 1989, Latino/a/x and Hispanic Heritage Month has taken place from September 15 to October 15 each year and celebrates U.S. Latino/a/x and Hispanic communities and how they have influenced and contributed to American society.
