Donegal students participate in Memory Project

Students in Drawing/Painting II and AP Studio Art classes at Donegal High School participated in the Memory Project – a nationwide initiative where students create portraits for children in orphanages or similar situations around the world. The aim of the project is to give these children, who may not have many personal belongings, a meaningful keepsake from their childhood. The Donegal students received photographs of children in Syria and created artwork that was delivered in January. The students enhanced their portraiture skills while learning more about Syrian culture and current events. The project was supported by the Donegal Foundation.
