Students use Javascript on their laptops to create an animation with help from Google Software Engineers
During Computer Science Education Week, students in Mrs. Lint’s AP Computer Science classes participated in a hands on coding activity, led by Google employees Larry Adams, Product Manager/Software Engineer, and Vinesh Kannan, Software Engineer, from Google’s Pittsburgh office, as part of Google’s high school outreach program.
Students were mentored through an Interactive Art activity using Javascript to manipulate objects on their computer screen and create a simple animation. Students were also able to ask questions about what it’s like to work at Google and the career paths that led them there.
