LeTort Elementary keeps the focus on future

LeTort Elementary School focuses the learning environment through establishing unique purposes for each of its students. Every child is asked what they want to be when they get older. Students are interviewed and a picture is taken and displayed in the hallways throughout the year. Students use their job/career choice to encourage making good choices, and as a goal when they need reflective conversations. Their future choice helps everyone to establish a purpose for attending school and doing their best. In addition, the school-wide reading program and school-wide rewards expose students to different careers, opening students to greater possibilities. This process ensures a positive school-wide environment focused on the ultimate goal of making students college and career ready.
