Canon McMillian collected and donated over 300 bags of clothing and household goods

On Saturday, April 10, 2021, Canon-McMillan Senior High School’s National Honor Society and Student Council organized a Spring Clothing Drive that benefitted Society of St. Vincent de Paul. According to their Facebook page, “The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Council of Pittsburgh, is a Non Profit Catholic Lay Organization helping the poor of the Pittsburgh area since 1852.”

The clothing drive ran from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this past Saturday and accepted items that could be donated included: gently worn clothes, shoes, linens and other household items. Over 300 bags of clothing and boxes of household goods were donated by the end of the clothing drive. Congratulations to student coordinator Jadine Vanderaar and school counselor Karen Rubican who worked together in organizing it, and to all of the students from the Canon-McMillan Senior High School’s National Honor Society and Student Council on this fantastic act of community service.
