Cambria Heights HS students from the homeroom that collected the most Jared Boxes this year.

Students at Cambria Heights High School were introduced to The Jared Box Project last year and after seeing what an amazing impact it had on local children, they decided to continue the project again this year.

In homeroom, students were shown a short video about the Jared Box Project, which explained the project’s background and the impact its had on children. Homeroom teachers were given plastic shoebox size containers and students brought in items for children who are in Intensive Care Units or unexpectedly go to the emergency room. Items included small toys or other objects that could brighten the children’s mood and boost their spirits.

Overall, students and staff created 124 Jared Boxes to bring smiles to children in need of a happy moment during their time in the hospital this holiday season.
