After qualifying for nationals by winning in the state competition in June, two Bellefonte Area High School students placed at the National 4-H Poultry and Egg Conference in Louisville, Kentucky on Nov. 20-21. Senior Linzy Fetteroff placed second and sophomore Ryan Miller placed third in the poultry-judging competition among 74 competitors from across the country.

They were part of a Centre County 4-H team coached by Bellefonte Area High School grad Jacob Haagen Kadel. This year’s first place winner was Alyssa Brown from Penns Valley.

The Pennsylvania team also placed first overall, while also winning two individual categories as a team within the competition.
